Hi i work as a canvas printer and that is what i will talk about in this article i will tell you why canvas prints are so popular these days how easy it is to do, why it can be a great hobby and even starting your own Printing business there is nothing better than turning a hobby in to a career printing is fun and easy to do and there is a great market out there for selling a great canvas print.
A lot of people these days want their pictures on canvas they look great if the image is good enough you can have it enlarged to as big as you like and by good enough I mean has a large amount of pixels this will allow you to enlarge the picture as much as you like without distorting the original picture when done well the print will look great and should last a life time there are so many things you can do with your image before you print most Printers like me will use photo shop to correct or enhance images.
photo shop can be quite expensive if you want the latest version you can pay up to £1000 for it but don’t worry you don’t need it for most things in fact when starting out in printing and for some time all you will need is a basic version of photo shop and you can even down load this for free some computers even come with photo shop installed you can use this to crop size and even change the colours and back grounds for instance you can change the colour to black and white sepia or use colour splash this is when the picture will be black and white and you can highlight areas of the picture to be in colour photo shop is very easy to use even for a beginner.
Starting Canvas Printing as a hobby is very simple you will need a computer and a printer this is all. A scanner is very helpful if you want to print from old Photos if not all you need to do is upload your image on to the computer size it in photo shop then print it could not be more simple when you come to framing your canvas it is also very simple all you need are stretch bars you can find these sold all over the internet and most are the same canvas stretch gripers also can be found on the internet and a basic staple gun which should cost around £20 the most expensive thing is the printer itself these can cost up to £3000 for a good printer but when starting out there is nothing wrong with buying a second hand printer as long as it in good condition and these can be picked up quite cheap compared to brand new printers. When you get good at printing on canvas and you are happy with your work you can start to make some money on the side with your new hobby most people start by putting an add on eBay offering your canvas prints and car boot sales are also good just keep the prints simple and cheap and they will sell you can sell them cheap because they are very cheap 2 make when you have the right tools.
