How to set Up a Sales Store in iWeb
With advances on technology, setting an online store has become a very important part of Electronic commerce commonly referred to as E-commerce. The sales store is a graphical representation of the actual shop from where sales are made. The sales store should thus be presentable and well functioning as well. It must also be easily accessible by customers as this ensures that the customers can easily pick the goods required. It is therefore important to design the online store in a professional manner. Setting up a sales store in iWeb follows a certain process as it shall be discussed below.
Step 1
Create the domain name. This involves giving the website of your online store the name of your own choice. The domain name should be very captivating since it is represents the business itself. This is the name that ends with a ‘www a (domain).com/net/org.
Step 2
Look for a hosting site or a server. This is a server through which your business site will be made available online. This is placing the domain name on a web server. A server is a type of computer which is always online. In order to have a large space for the physical files, it is advisable to purchase free space on a web server that is large in order to increase the number of sites the store can host. One can also use a hosted service by simply signing in to an existing iWeb.
Step 3
Add products to the store. The products added to the store should be actually what the business is dealing in. A website package from iWeb is able to help one import products from their websites and list them in the store. One can also list the products one after another or in a bulk from pricelist using formats such as MS Excel
Step 4
Design your graphical representations of your products in an attractive manner and in the exact condition they are in. This is a type of product positioning. The online store should also be made in an attractive manner and the customers should access it easily. Contact addresses such as e-mails, phone numbers and physical addresses are also included in the sale store. An administrator should always be at the service so as to answer any questions the customers might have as this helps in building of trust.
Step 5
Set up the shipping and payment options which the various buyers can use. This is usually very important for the customers buying their products electronically. One uses an iWeb wizard to connect the various payment options such as PayPal and Google check out, with the shipping agencies such as DHL. After all these steps have been put into book, the online store is ready and the business can begin conducting its business online. You do not have to seek services from an expensive server companies you can start with cheap and assess their performance.
